Our First Blog

Its our first blog!!!! We are not sure what to write really.............. perhaps we will start with what's been going on at Edlesborough Flowers.

So, its our second full year at the shop, me (Kate) and my Mum, Debbie, and things have changed a fair bit. This summer we decided to go for it and refurbish our rather tired looking shop. We had given it a paint when we moved in and had a new counter built, however it was in need of a little extra.

Withe the help of family and friends work commenced in July and by early August we were back open with a beautiful new shelving unit, including a hydrangea flower wall, lots more space and even blue doors to match our signage! Pop in and have a peek!

After sorting through stock and preparing for Autumn, our fantastic new website lunched. After a few months working with the brilliant floristPro we were up and running, showcasing our flowers, gifts and more. With the inclusion of an online shop (a scary new tech thing for us) it was all go! It is still very much work in progress but things are finally starting to come together.

Moving in to Autumn / Winter we have lots of bits and bobs going on. Have you checked out our workshop page? We are very fortunate to be working with our friends at the National Trust Dunstable Downs Visitors Centre to host a variety of floral workshops. First of which is our Pumpkin Flower Arrangements running throughout half term and perfect for children.

Moving in to Christmas we are back with the National Trust again to host Wreath Decorating and Christmas Table Decoration making, All great fun, and all come with a glass of bubbly!
